How to Enroll in Medicare Advantage

When you first become eligible for Medicare, you have the option to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. However, if you declined to enroll in Medicare Advantage Initial Enrollment Period, there are other options for increasing your coverage.

If you already have Original Medicare, you can increase your coverage by enrolling in a Medicare Advantage plan during the Annual Enrollment Period at the end of each year. If you have Medicare Advantage but are interested in a different plan you can choose a new option during the Open Enrollment Period from January 1 – March 31. Finally, if a top rated 5-star Medicare plan is available where you live, you are eligible to enroll in that plan at least once per enrollment period, or you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you meet certain criteria.

We can help you determine your eligibility for enrollment, or if you’d like to find out if a 5-star Medicare Advantage plan is offered in the Pensacola area, don’t hesitate to give us a call!
