What is Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C, can offer extended coverage for care beyond what Original Medicare (the collective name for Medicare Parts A and B) provides. Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance carriers but are still regulated by the U.S. federal government.
